Chapter 7

Dear Diary: Living My Purpose

10/15/25

Dear Diary,

Let’s go deep today. I’m feeling a little nostalgic as I reflect on the growth of my business, my team, and the ever-growing community connected to The Admin Effect.

It all leads me to one word: purpose

What’s your purpose?
For years, I asked myself that question without realizing that I’d been living mine all along. My purpose is to uplift others and help them unlock their fullest potential by creating products, services, and environments where people can truly thrive.

But even before The Admin Effect existed, I was already living this out.

It showed up in the little things, like in kindergarten, when a friend gifted me the same Barbie I already had. My brother quickly pointed it out, but instead of feeling awkward, I smiled and said, “I love it! Now they can be twins!” Even then, I was finding ways to create connection and positivity.

It showed up in the years I spent coaching gymnastics, encouraging young girls to see what they were capable of, to push beyond their limits, and to believe in themselves just a little more each day.

Looking back, I realize purpose isn’t something we stumble upon, it’s something that’s been quietly shaping us all along. Every experience, every relationship, every challenge leaves little breadcrumbs leading us to who we were meant to become. The Admin Effect simply gave my purpose a larger stage. A place where I could live it out loud and invite others to do the same.

So today, I’m asking you:
When was the last time you felt truly alive doing something that made time disappear?
What moments or experiences have shaped your sense of meaning or direction?
How might your purpose already be showing up in small, everyday ways, even if you haven’t named it yet?

Maybe purpose isn’t about finding something new. Maybe it’s about recognizing what’s already within you and choosing to live it, boldly and intentionally, every single day.

Until next time,
Katelyn
