Chapter 20

it's never Too late to Take Flight

02/18/26

For a long time, I believed that some dreams just weren’t meant for me.
Not because I didn’t work hard, I did.
Not because I lacked commitment, I gave everything I had.
But because I was really good at helping others.
And when you’re good at something, people tend to keep you right there.

I spent my entire adult life being the reliable one. The supporter. The problem-solver behind the scenes. I built a career on being dependable, capable, and strong for everyone else. And while there is honor in that, there was also a quiet voice inside me wondering, Is this all there is for me?

Fast forward to my 50’s and something incredible happened.
One person saw something in me that I hadn’t fully allowed myself to see.
One person believed I was capable of more.
One opportunity changed everything.

With the right support, a solid foundation, and genuine belief, I was given the chance to grow, to stretch beyond the box I had lived in for decades. And for the first time in my life, I can honestly say this:
I LOVE what I do. Every single day.
Not “I’m grateful to have a job.”
Not “It pays the bills.”
But real, deep, energizing fulfillment.

This chapter of my life has taught me something powerful:
It only takes one person to open a door, but you still have to walk through it.

If you’re reading this and you feel stuck…
If you think your time has passed…
If you’ve spent years pouring into others while quietly setting your own dreams aside…
Please hear this: It’s not too late!

Your experience matters. Your story matters. Your dreams still matter.
Sometimes, your wings don’t appear until someone believes you’re meant to fly.
And sometimes, that moment comes later than expected, but right on time.

✨ Never give up on your dreams. Your best chapter might be just beginning. ✨
